We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our project teams in and around Rochester, Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both first and second fix carpentry on a variety of residential and commercial builds. The role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure all work is completed to a high standard, including fitting doors, skirting, architraves, flooring, and staircases. Candidates will work from drawings and specifications, accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for long-term employment for the right individual, with potential for career progression within a professional construction team.
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry to a professional standard
- Fit doors, skirting, architraves, flooring, and staircases
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials
- Maintain a tidy and safe working environment
- Collaborate with other trades and site managers to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Own tools and full PPE
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Carpenter
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred
