JOB ROLE: Electrical Supervisor
LOCATION: Mitcham, Greater London
RATE: £220/day - £270/day
START DATE: September 2026
About the Role:
RGM Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to supervise and coordinate all electrical installation works on a residential construction project, ensuring installations are completed safely, to programme, in accordance with specifications, regulations, and company quality standards. The Electrical Supervisor will lead site operatives and subcontractors whilst maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, quality assurance, testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all electrical operatives and subcontractors on site

Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with drawings, specifications and current regulations
-
Coordinate electrical activities with other trades and disciplines
-
Monitor progress against programme and report delays or issues
-
Attend site meetings and provide progress updates
-
Carry out regular quality inspections of electrical installations
-
Ensure installations comply with BS 7671, Building Regulations and project specifications
-
Identify defects and non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed
-
Maintain QA records, inspection reports and photographic evidence, using Procore software
-
Support project audits and client inspections
-
Produce and manage snagging lists throughout construction
-
Coordinate subcontractors to close out defects promptly
-
Verify completed snagging items meet required standards
-
Support practical completion and handover activities
-
Carry out site surveys and measure quantities of materials required
-
Monitor material usage and identify shortages in advance
-
Verify deliveries against orders and specifications
-
Maintain records of materials received and installed
-
Liaise with procurement teams regarding lead times and site requirements
-
Ensure testing and commissioning activities are properly planned and executed
-
Review test certificates and inspection documentation
-
Coordinate specialist contractors during commissioning phases
-
Support witness testing with consultants and clients
Requirements:
-
Recognised Electrical Qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
-
ECS/JIB Gold Card
-
SSSTS or SMSTS desirable
-
Using Procore software
-
5+ years’ experience supervising electrical installations
-
Experience within residential developments
-
Strong understanding of BS 7671 and Building Regulations
-
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
-
Ability to issue weekly reports
-
Good communication and organisational skills
