JOB ROLE: Estimator / Tender Coordinator
LOCATION: Maidstone, Kent
SALARY: £60k - £70k + competitive package
START DATE: April 2026
About the Role:
RGM Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an opportunity for an Estimator / Tender Coordinator working with a leading specialist joinery and fit out contractor, delivering high-quality bespoke solutions for commercial and high end fit out projects. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail, they pride themselves on creating exceptional spaces that combine design excellence with flawless execution.
They are seeking an experienced Estimator / Tender Coordinator to join their team. This role combines technical estimating expertise with client-facing responsibilities, requiring someone confident in building and maintaining strong relationships. You will play a key role in securing new projects and supporting the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for joinery and fit out projects.

Coordinate tender submissions from initial enquiry to final proposal.

Liaise with clients, architects and contractors to clarify project requirements.

Attend client meetings regularly to develop relationships and understand client needs.

Review project specifications, drawings and documentation to produce competitive bids.

Work closely with design, production and site teams to ensure estimates reflect feasibility and delivery requirements.

Monitor market trends and supplier pricing to inform competitive bids.
Requirements:

Proven experience working in a carpentry, joinery or specialist fit out company.

Strong technical knowledge of joinery, fit out processes and construction materials.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in meeting clients in person.

Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
