JOB ROLE: Finishing Manager
LOCATION: Rochester, Kent
RATE: £200/day - £250/day
START DATE: September 2026
About the Role:
RGM Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an opportunity for a Finishing Manager working with an established and reputable Main Contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful completion of a high-profile industrial unit, ensuring the highest standards of quality are achieved through the final stages of construction and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all internal and external finishing works
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards
- Carry out regular quality inspections and snagging throughout the project
- Ensure defects are identified, tracked and closed out efficiently
- Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve any issues that may impact completion
- Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, design team and client representatives
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across all finishing activities
- Assist with commissioning, inspections and practical completion
- Support the production of handover documentation and ensure a smooth client handover
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Finishing Manager, Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager on commercial, industrial or large-scale construction projects
- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple trades and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and quality control
- Good knowledge of construction processes, specifications and finishing standards
- Up-to-date CITB qualifications, including CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid at Work
