JOB TITLE: Groundworker with Dumper Ticket
HOURS: Full-time; Monday to Friday
LOCATION: Isle of Grain, Kent
RATE: £19 phr
START DATE: ASAP
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker with a valid Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket to join a busy civils and infrastructure project located on the Isle of Grain. This is a great opportunity to work with an established contractor on a long-term project with consistent hours and the potential for further opportunities.
As a Groundworker, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of site operations, supporting a range of groundwork activities and plant operation. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a solid background in groundwork and hold the necessary plant and safety certifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out all aspects of groundwork including:

Excavation and trenching
-
Drainage installation
-
Ducting and pipework
-
Concrete works, footings, and foundations
-
Kerbing, edging, and block paving
-
Safe and efficient operation of a Forward Tipping Dumper

Assisting with site set-up, materials handling, and general labouring duties
-
Following health and safety procedures and reporting any incidents or near misses

Working alongside machine operators, site managers, and other trades as required
Requirements:

CSCS Card – Essential
-
Valid CPCS or NPORS (with Forward Tipping Dumper category) – Essential

Proven experience in groundworks and civil engineering projects

Ability to read site plans and follow instructions from site supervisors

Strong understanding of site health & safety protocols

Good physical fitness and reliability
-
Must have the right to work in the UK

Must be able to commute reliably to the Isle of Grain (own transport is strongly preferred due to limited public transport)
