We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker with landscaping experience to join a busy team working on ongoing projects in Gillingham, Kent.
The Role
As a Groundworker/Landscaper, you will be involved in a variety of general groundworks and landscaping duties, working as part of a professional site team. The ideal candidate will have solid groundworks experience as well as practical landscaping skills.
Duties are likely to include:
- General groundworks and site preparation
- Landscaping and external works
- Preparing and levelling ground
- Digging, excavating and backfilling
- Laying paving, slabs and kerbs
- Concrete and screeding work
- Drainage and basic groundwork installations
- Installing edging, paths and other external features
- Turfing and general soft landscaping
- Moving and distributing materials around site
- Assisting other trades and site teams when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Groundworker
- Good practical experience in landscaping/external works
- A valid CSCS card – essential
- Experience with general groundworks and site preparation
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Good timekeeping and a strong work ethic
- Your own PPE
- Previous experience working on construction or landscaping projects
