PAY RATE: £21.00 per hour
HOURS: 9 hours paid per day
We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join a busy site in Chatham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable Groundworker looking for an immediate start, with 9 hours paid per day at £21 per hour.
Duties will include:
- General groundworks and site preparation
- Excavation and digging
- Drainage and pipework installation
- Installation of ducting and underground services
- Concrete works and foundations
- Kerbing and edging
- Slabbing and paving
- Tarmac preparation and associated groundwork
- Shallow and deep excavation work
- Ground preparation and levelling
- Working around existing services
- Assisting with site clearance and general construction duties
- Using hand tools and groundworking equipment safely
- Following site plans, drawings and instructions
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Working closely with other trades and site management
The ideal candidate:
- Has proven experience as a Groundworker
- Has experience in all aspects of groundworks
- Is confident with drainage, concreting, kerbing, excavation and general groundwork
- Has a good understanding of site health & safety
- Is reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Is able to follow instructions and work to a high standard
- Has a strong work ethic and good attention to detail
- Has the appropriate CSCS card and relevant tickets where required
