RGM Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a Contract Groundworks Maintenance Operative for our client based in Isle of Grain, Kent. This role plays a crucial part in supporting infrastructure and grounds upkeep through a variety of practical tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractors and other grounds-maintenance machinery, performing routine groundworks such as mowing, grading, site preparation, vegetation control, and assisting with landscaping and outdoor site maintenance. Safety is a key priority; therefore, adherence to health & safety regulations, including the use of PPE, is essential. The position offers an ongoing contract, full-time hours Monday to Friday, at a competitive rate of £18 per hour, with an immediate start available.
- Experience in groundworks, construction, agriculture, or civil works (preferred but not mandatory)
- Relevant certifications including PA1, PA2, PA6, and Lantra Tractor Ticket
- Full, clean UK driving licence (desirable for towing duties)
- Hands-on, safety-conscious, and physically capable of outdoor work
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions with flexible schedules
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong communication skills
