We are currently looking for a reliable, hard-working, and experienced Hod Carrier to join a small, fast-paced bricklaying team on a residential build near Cranbrook, Kent.
This is a short-term contract lasting 1 to 2 months, suitable for someone who knows the job inside and out, can work independently, and is used to keeping bricklayers supplied without having to be told what to do.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carrying hods of bricks and blocks to supply the bricklayers efficiently
- Mixing and transporting mortar
- Loading out materials and maintaining a clean, organised work area
- Using hand tools when required
- Working to site health and safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (this is essential)
- Own hod, shovel, and bucket – these must be brought to site daily
- Proven experience as a hod carrier – you must know what you're doing
- Physically fit and able to carry out demanding manual work
- Reliable and self-motivated, able to work without constant direction
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
Transport Requirements:
- The site is located in a rural village near Cranbrook. There is no public transport available before 8am, so if you do not live locally, you must drive and have your own transport to arrive on time each day.

- Monday to Friday
- Start time: 7:30am
- Duration: 1 to 2 months, with the possibility of extension depending on workload and performance
