Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable IPAF Operator to join a busy construction site in Maidstone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating powered access machinery (MEWPs), including scissor lifts (3a) and boom lifts (3b)
- Carrying out pre-use inspections and ensuring equipment is safe and fit for operation
- Assisting trades on site by providing safe access at height
- Working closely with site supervisors and other operatives to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with site health & safety procedures
- Reporting any faults, hazards, or incidents immediately to site management
- Adhering to all company and site-specific policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Valid IPAF licence (Categories 3a & 3b) – essential
- Valid CSCS card – essential
- Full PPE required (hard hat, high-visibility vest/jacket, safety boots, gloves, and eye protection)
- Previous experience operating MEWPs on construction sites
- Strong awareness of health & safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Must be able to provide recent, checkable work references
