JOB OPPORTUNITY: General Operatives – Timber Frame Factory
START DATE: Tuesday 26th August 2025
LOCATION: Sandwich, Kent
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 6 (3 per shift)
We are currently recruiting reliable and safety-conscious General Operatives to join a busy and growing timber frame manufacturing facility in Sandwich, Kent. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who are comfortable using tools, working in a team, and following clear instructions in a production environment.
About the Role
You will be part of a team that assembles timber frame panels used in the construction of residential properties. Operatives will use nail guns and other tools to manufacture these frames to exact specifications. Full training will be provided.
Shift Options
Candidates will be required to commit to one of the following full-time shifts:
- Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
We require three candidates per shift. Please specify your preferred shift when applying.
Candidate Requirements
- NO CSCS card required
- Preferred to live within a 10-mile radius of Sandwich
- Non-drivers must be very local, due to limited transport options outside of standard hours
- Good level of spoken English
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly
- Strong communication skills
- High awareness of workplace health and safety
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Willing to use hand tools and nail guns (training provided)
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble timber frames according to specifications
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Work collaboratively to meet production targets
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
Location
The role is based at a factory in Sandwich, Kent. Candidates who do not drive must live very nearby, as public transport may not be available during early or late shift hours.
