JOB TITLE: General Labourer
LOCATION: Hoo, Kent
START DATE: Mid-April 2026
PAY RATE: £14.24 per hour (PAYE only)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dependable General Labourer to join a busy construction site located in Hoo, Kent, with work commencing mid-April. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking for stable, ongoing work, with the potential to secure a long-term position based on performance, reliability, and attitude on site.
Role Overview:
As a General Labourer, you will play a key role in supporting site operations and ensuring work areas are safe, clean, and running efficiently. You will be working alongside skilled tradespeople and site management, assisting with a variety of tasks to help keep the project on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general labouring duties as directed by site management
- Assisting tradespeople (e.g. carpenters, groundworkers, electricians)
- Loading and unloading materials and distributing them across site
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment at all times
- Clearing waste and debris in line with health and safety regulations
- Supporting with basic manual tasks and setup where required
- Adhering strictly to all site health & safety procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card – essential
- Full PPE – hard hat, high-visibility vest, and safety boots must be worn at all times
- Previous experience in a labouring or construction environment preferred
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take instruction
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to full-time work
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle highly desirable due to the site’s location and limited public transport links
