JOB TITLE: IPAF Painter (3a & 3b)
LOCATION: Maidstone, Kent
START DATE: Mid-April 2026
PAY RATE: £21.00 – £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter with valid IPAF 3a & 3b certification to join an active project in Maidstone, Kent, starting mid-April. This is a great opportunity for a skilled and reliable individual looking for ongoing work on a well-managed site.
Role Overview:
The role will involve internal and external painting, with a strong focus on steel frame structures. You will be required to work at height using powered access equipment, so confidence and competence with IPAF machinery is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Painting steel frames to a high standard (internal and external)
- Preparing surfaces including cleaning, sanding, and priming
- Operating IPAF equipment (3a & 3b) safely and effectively
- Applying coatings in line with project specifications
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following all site health & safety procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid IPAF Licence (3a & 3b) – essential
- Valid CSCS Card – required
- Full PPE (hard hat, high-vis, safety boots)
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial painting
- Experience working on steel structures highly desirable
- Comfortable working at height
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
