JOB ROLE: Site Manager (M&E)
LOCATION: Central London
RATE: £250/day - £300/day
START DATE: February 2026 (5 month assignment)
About the Role:
RGM Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced M&E Site Manager to lead the mechanical and electrical delivery on a major Ministry of Defence (MOD) construction project. The successful candidate will oversee on-site M&E installation works, ensure compliance with MOD standards, and coordinate subcontractors to achieve safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day M&E site operations on a secure MOD project.

Coordinate M&E subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to specification, schedule and budget.

Monitor installation quality and ensure full compliance with MOD, H&S and technical requirements.

Conduct site inspections, progress reports and RAMS reviews.

Work closely with the Project Manager, Design Teams and MOD representatives to resolve technical issues.

Enforce site safety culture and maintain accurate site records.

Support testing, commissioning and handover processes.
Requirements:

Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager on complex construction projects (MOD or highly regulated environments beneficial).

Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring quality control.

Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations (SMSTS essential, NEBOSH preferred).

Ability to obtain or hold the appropriate MOD Security Clearance.

Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.

Experience working within secure or defence-sector environments.
