JOB ROLE: Solar PV Site Manager
LOCATION: Canterbury, Kent
RATE: £250/day - £300/day
START DATE: May 2026
About the Role:
RGM Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an opportunity for a Solar PV Site Manager working with a specialist in renewable energy, electric vehicle charging and ESG solutions for the new build construction and retrofit sectors. They provide end-to-end solutions, ensuring their clients meet their sustainability and planning targets through innovative carbon reduction initiatives.
They are looking for an experienced Solar PV Site Manager for a Solar PV installation project. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering sustainable energy infrastructure, contributing to the UK’s transition to clean energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations for Solar PV installation projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Monitor project progress and report to senior management
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and toolbox talks
- Ensure works are completed in line with design specifications and programme deadlines
- Maintain site records, documentation and compliance requirements
- Act as the main point of contact on site for clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within renewable energy or construction
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV installations (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Up to date CITB qualifications, including CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid at Work
- NEBOSH qualification
- Enhanced DBS required
