Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Telehandler to join our team on a long term project in Uckfield, East Sussex, starting in the New Year. This role involves the safe and efficient handling of materials on construction sites, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and place materials as required on-site.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the telehandler to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from lorries and other vehicles.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the maintenance team promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handled and tasks completed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating telehandlers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours depending on project needs.
- CPCS or NPORS ticket.
- CSCS card
